Marble Relay

Marble Relay is a puzzle game for iPhone and Android. Aim one marble through relay arrows and clear every crystal. Made by Vio Labs.

Coming soon on iOS and Android. Marble Relay is not in the App Store or on Google Play yet.

A blue puzzle board in the middle of a shot. A red marble trails up through an opened gate towards a green relay arrow, with yellow crystals and more relay arrows elsewhere on the board.
Encore, the bonus finale of chapter 50. Nine crystals and ten relays, cleared in a single shot.

What it is

Marble Relay is a puzzle game. Each board has crystals to clear and a small number of shots to do it with. You aim the launcher, fire one marble, and it breaks every crystal in its path. When it hits a green relay arrow it turns and carries on in the arrow's direction, so one good shot can clear a long chain. Each relay works once per attempt, and a spent relay lets later shots pass straight through.

Aim by dragging on the board, or with the slider and the plus and minus buttons, then press Fire. Letting go never fires a shot.

What is in it

  • Campaign. 3,030 puzzles in 61 chapters. The first puzzle of every chapter is open from the start, and the rest of a chapter are played in order.
  • New rules as you go. Later chapters add striped walls that the marble bounces off, numbered portals that it passes through, and lettered switches that open matching gates.
  • Bonus finales. One for each chapter, 61 in all, each cleared with a single long chain. Each has an optional mastery badge for a harder route that banks off a wall. All of them can be played without finishing their chapter first.
  • Daily Relay. Three puzzles for each date: a warm-up, a trickier board and a finale. Clear all three for that day's badge. Missing a day costs nothing.
  • Friend challenges. After a win, the game makes a short code for the puzzle and your winning shots. Copy it into your own message. A friend who enters it can play the same board or watch your replay. Codes work offline.
  • Collection. Eight marbles, four boards and four trails, unlocked by clearing different puzzles. The first comes after 3 clears and the last after 3,000.
  • Help. Undo takes back a whole shot, and Restart and Hint are always free. Every puzzle has a solution within its shots, checked by a separate solver.

Grand relay 1, the first puzzle of chapter 31: nine crystals and two shots. The first shot is aimed at switch A, to open gate A. This player has unlocked the Garden board and the Sapphire Ring marble.

The first 30 puzzles were designed by hand. The other 3,000 were built from route patterns before release and checked automatically: each one must have a solution, must not repeat another board's layout, and must not be winnable without the rule it introduces.
